Cloth diaper stash = droolworthy! :)

I think I have finally completed my cloth diapering stash and I couldn't be happier with it! :) Just wanted to share some pics of what Emma wears on her fluffy bum :)

"Terrible 2's" That's a joke, right?!?

Whoever it was that coined the term "Terrible 2's" deserves to be tied up and attacked by mothers who have been misled by the term. Here I was thinking that I would have at least another 6 months before my sweet little angel turned into the monster that everyone always warns you about, but, sadly, I think the transformation has already taken place. Emma got in trouble more times this evening than I can even count. She even got put in time-out by Daddy (which rarely ever happens) because she kicked him in the head while he was laying on the floor. Of course, the big crocodile tears helped get her out of trouble almost as quickly as she had gotten into trouble. :)

Sigh... I guess I should just remember the words that my mom likes to remind me of: "This too, shall pass."

Kinda like Martha Stewart... but not.

So, in an effort to be crafty, I have decided to attempt knitting a shirt for Emma. The pattern is super cute, but my knitting skills are about as basic as you can get. I think I have only ever finished one project, and it was a pretty pathetic looking scarf. However, I decided that if I talk about this project in my blog and have all of you on the edge of your seats waiting for the finished product, I am a lot less likely to toss it into the closet unfinished. I'll keep you updated as I go! :)

Just call me Kermit :)

Chris (and many others) think that I have finally lost it! I have decided to begin using cloth diapers on Emma. It started off as a way to help prevent her almost constatn diaper rash, but it slowly turned into my obsession! Not only are cloth diapers great for the environment, but they come in so many great colors and styles! I honestly had no idea that I would spend more time choosing Emma's diapers each day than choosing her outfit. :)

I recently placed a custom order from a company called Rainshine Designs for one-size pocket diapers. The benefit to these is that they are designed to fit babies from approximately 8-35 pounds, so this means that our future children will already have a complete diaper "wardrobe".

A New Beginning!

I have decided that with all my free time (Ha! That's a funny term. Free time?!?!) I am going to create a blog to keep friends and family informed about what is going on in our everyday life (hence the name of the blog) :) I hope it is enjoyed by everyone and a place for me to vent from time to time.
